Belagavi City Police have introduced a GPS-enabled digital system to help devotees visiting Ganesh pandals identify authorised parking areas during the ongoing Ganeshotsav.
Under the “Scan, Park, Pray” initiative, devotees can scan QR codes to access information on parking facilities near major pandals. Police said the system is intended to reduce roadside and unauthorised parking, improve traffic flow and make it easier for visitors to plan their darshan.
The initiative comes as large crowds continue to visit public Ganesh installations across the city, with roads around popular pandals experiencing increased evening traffic. The digital arrangement is part of wider police efforts to manage crowds and traffic during the festival
